Came here back in May. A friend of mine had suggested this place. Not too many Singaporean places, so we decided to give it a try! Came here for Sunday brunch, though you wouldn't think it based on what we ordered. It's a fast casual eatery. You order at the counter, pick up your number, and place it on your table. The interior is spacious with seating downstairs, upstairs, and covered outdoor seating. Food came out quickly, but minimal interaction with staff. Self-service when it comes to extra utensils and to-go containers, which is where we were redirected to when we requested them. We got the roti and laksa noodles. Delicious! Each entree is around $20, but the portion sizes are huge. Also got their yuan yang: a mix of their coffee, tea, and condensed milk. Perfect if you're in need of a caffeine/sugar boost. Despite the minimal service, the food was very good. Considering there aren't many Singaporean places in the area, I would be happy to stop by again for some Singaporean comfort food when they re-open.

Killiney Kopitiam boasts its history for being the oldest cafe in Singapore (first opened in 1919). When you walk in, they will have a wall full of its history. Like a cafe, you order with the cashier at the front. The food is on point, flavours are reminiscent of my days in Singapore and if you are in the area, the restaurant is definitely on the recommended list. Taste: 4.25/5 Service: 3/5 Ambience: 3/5 Value for money: 3.5/5 We had: 1) Roti Prata: A bit on the blander side 2) Kaya Toast: Awesome and definitely recommended! Not too sweet, and a great delicate balance 3) Ayam Penet: Great! 4) Laksa: A bit of an extra kick to the everyday Laksa 5) Chicken Curry: Not bad 6) Nasi Lemak: Coconut rice did not as much of the coconutty flavour, and chicken was similar to that of a Taiwanese fried chicken dish; not bad 7) Nasi Goreng w/ Satay: Highly recommended! Satay sauce was on point 8) Immuniteh: Great! Thought it was going to be gimmicky given the push for a immunity boosted drink but this was good 9) Yuan Yang: Actually tasted like a dark chocolate, a bit bitter but not bad! All in all, this is a solid spot. Would be back if I have a craving.

This is a very low-key restaurant where you order food at the counter and they'll just bring food to you. Ordered laksa and mee siam, both are quite good and full of flavor, but came more lukewarm than hot, which isn't ideal for me but probably kids friendly. The highlight was the kaya toast, which is quite delightful for me. Kaya is coconut jam, so it's basically coconut jam with a thin slice of butter in the toast. This is my first time having it and I found it quite delightful to try. Will come back.

Love this place! It is hard to find decent Singaporean food in the Bay area so I am really happy with this restaurant! Bak Kut Teh- Great portion. Comes with pork rib in a soup, with a side of rice and fried dough. The rib is quite tender and the cartilage is soft and edible too. The broth itself tastes medicinal and herby, with hints of pepper, super delicious. I wish it is even more herby but I guess most people are ok with slight herbiness since it is not a common flavor profile in the western cuisine. I just love the soup so much and drink every single drop of it. Not to mention it goes well with the rice. Laksa- The laksa is very creamy with the slightest kick of heat. Decent amount of toppings of shrimp, bean curd, fish ball, and a whole egg. I especially like the fresh bean sprout and cucumber slices that gives a refreshing and crunchy texture to the noodle soup. Kopi C- black coffee+ evaporated milk+ sugar. Staff recommended this as the most popular coffee drink here. I was a little worried that the coffee would be sweet but it is just right!. It is only slightly sweet, unlike Vietnamese coffee. It is really good! You will check in with the host and get seated inside. After that, you can place your order at the cashier and obtain a number where they will deliver food to your table. Water is self served right next to the cashier. Service is quick and efficient but minimal. Staff only delivers food and utensils to you and will not check in on you. Located at the busy Palo Alta restaurant area, street parking could be difficult. There is a free 2 hour parking lot right next to the restaurant, and definitely more street parking if you are willing to walk a few blocks. Interior is quite small, less than 10 tables on the first floor and a couple more on the second floor/ loft area. A few more table outdoor in front of the store. During busy hours, there could be a 45 min wait. I really like the comfort food here at Killiney Kopitiam. Will come back agin to try different dishes next time!

Pretty tasty! Plenty of seating. Order at the register and they will bring your food to your table. Service is pretty quick. Now to decide if you want Kopi (coffee), teh (tea), or Milo! I got their Kaya toast and they don't skimp on the butter. If you like toast, Kaya and butter it's definitely for you. Hainanese Chicken Rice hit the spot for me. Chicken was cooked well, nice and juicy. 3 different dipping sauces ginger, sweet soy, and chili. The chicken flavored rice cooked perfectly and not too oily. Seafood beehon was ordered non-spicy which they were able to accommodate. Plenty of seafood and exactly what my mom was looking for. Last but not least I got a teh c drink with evaporated milk and sugar. Evaporated milk gives it a nice mouth feel and I was able to request less sugar. Overall a win in my book and will be visiting again.

Food: 5/5 heavenly food. Nasi goreng was super nice. The chicken in hainan chicken rice was tender and flavorful. Rice was covered in the right amount of chicken oil. Service: 3/5 you order at the register and find yourself a table. The problem with this system is that they do not have enough staff to clean. Lots of dirty tables and people who ordered will be standing around waiting for them to be clean. Ambiance: 4/5 nice little casual Asian style place. Grab a chair and sit.

Came here for a quick bite and was not disappointed. Got the Ayam Penyet which features a fried chicken. The fried chicken was crispy and juicy. The fried tofu was crispy and spongy. Overall, it was a good fast casual spot and I will probably come back to try their other dishes.

Service was alright. They ran out of a lot of things on the menu so come early or mid day. Food was delicious. Thoroughly enjoyed everything. Start dish? Nasi Lemak:) all for sambal You order And then find your seat. A chill place to grab a quick lunch.
